CRM Customization and Configuration

I finished the CRM Customization and Configuration course last week, which basically shows you how to create, add, remove and edit entities and attributes, and how to change the forms and views for Records. Customizing CRM is very handy for businesses that don’t need all the attributes that comes with a certain form by default, or they might not like the name of the ‘Account Name’ field, and could decide to change it to ‘Business Name’ for example. The Customization and Configuration course takes no longer than one week to complete, and afterwards you can fully customize the CRM user interface, to whatever your business desires.

Changing the field name from ‘Account Name’ to ‘Business Name’

  1. In the Navigation Pane, click Settings and then click Customization.
  2. In the Customization area, click Customize Entities.
  3. Open the Account entity.
  4. Under Forms and Views, open Form.
  5. Click the Account Name field and then click Change Properties.
  6. In the Label field change the name from Account Name to Business Name and click ok.
  7. Click Save and Close, and then Save and Close again.
  8. With the Account entity selected, click Publish on the Actions Toolbar.
  9. Test that the name has changed by opening an Account.
